David Bear
David’s entrepreneurial career began in 1992 when he launched one of the first exercise boxing training programs in New York City with a single New York Sports Clubs (TSI) location. It has since grown to a nationally recognized program currently operating at over 500 plus locations nationally and internationally.
In 1996, David joined the CEO of newly formed SW Networks, a joint venture between Sony and Warner Bros. that merged network radio with the newly emerging internet. After meeting the founder and CEO of Student Advantage, Bear decided to move to Boston from New York to join the original five partners and assist the growth of Student Advantage from an eight person start-up into a public company (STAD), which in 1999 had a market cap of $1 billion. David was responsible for all national brand relationships.
In 2001, Bear rejoined the CEO of SW Networks, Susan Solomon, to form Solomon Partners, a strategic consulting practice with clients ranging from small start up to being engaged by officers and board members at Fortune 100 companies. In 2004, he launched Bear Advisors, a strategic marketing consulting practice focusing on high growth internet companies utilizing entrepreneurial practices and the wonders of technology to grow rapidly.
In 2006, he joined Omnicom Group as Vice President of Business Development, for the newly acquired mobile marketing and advertising company IPSH! While at IPSH, David developed and managed multiple mobile marketing and advertising campaigns for Fortune 500 companies.
In 2007, David joined AtmosphereBBDO to head the newly developed Mobile and Social Media practices. David lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with his wife Danielle and their dog Vinnie.
